Pad size

Combined with the flange size, the pad size is key to your choice of axle. This is the centre measure of the mounting pads of the trailer axle in question. The pad size of our unbraked axles varies from 900 to 1500mm. The braked axles are available in pad sizes 1000 to 1900mm. If you are unable to find the pad size you need in our web store, feel free to contact our sales department. We are happy to tell you more about the options we can offer you.

Flange size

The flange size is another important thing to keep in mind when choosing the right replacement for an axle. The flange size should not be confused with the tread width. The flange size is equal to the distance in millimetres between the flat sides of the brake drums. Note: this measurement does not include the wheel bolts, wire ends and hubcap. The tread width is determined using the centre-to-centre measure of the tread of the tyre.
