Damper
In addition to gas springs, Protempo also carries oil dampers, sometimes called oil brakes. As opposed to gas springs, oil dampers provide no power. The damper evenly brakes linear propulsions. Dampers are used when you want to make an object, such as a valve, lid or hatch, move in a controlled manner. This is useful in a variety of situations, such as in the furniture industry, vehicle construction and in industrial applications.
An oil damper is a tailor-made product, for which the starting point is always your specific situation. We can deliver oil dampers with brake forces ranging from 5 to 2500 Newton (N).
